Proun is an odd duck: a PC release that can you play for free—or you can pay whatever you want to unlock an extra track—and it looks like nothing else currently on the market. You play a sphere that's attached to a very long cylinder, and you race across it, moving back and forth to avoid obstacles in your path. That's the entirety of the game, and you can play each track in a matter of minutes. The real joy comes in unlocking the faster speeds and seeing just how quickly you can react. We've embedded a video below—you're going to want to see this game in action.
What's striking about Proun is how it makes you feel. The game is epic without being loud, it's sleek without being cold, and it's joyful without being cute. It's a happy game that's not afraid to bloody your nose if you're not paying attention. The tracks feel both expertly designed and effortless.
My only problem is that I want more of it, and RockPaperShotgun was nice enough to point to another track you can add to the game. Let's hope that more are released, and the game grows with the audience. At the absolute minimum you need to give this a try, and I think you'll find it worth a few dollars from your wallet.

Research Statement
Improviso is a multiplayer game which pairs players anonymously online to dramatize a story together -- a story about an encounter with an alien. Our research question is two-fold, with a short- and long-term goal. In the short term, Improviso explores how the user interface and framing of a game can lead ordinary players to engage in dramatic improv, even if they have no prior experience acting or storytelling. The longer term goal is to train an AI system with data collected from thousands of people telling stories together with the same characters, sets, and props. Once trained, this AI system will be able to play the role of one or more characters that can converse and interact with other AI- or human-controlled characters. This project builds on AI research developed for The Restaurant Game project, and will demonstrate that the system generalizes to new scenarios. Download and Play Bulletstorm's Call of Duty Parody - Duty Calls for Free
Epic Games and People Can Fly's Bulletstorm has been marketed as a game whose excess and irreverence are intended to serve as antidotes to the often serious tone and focus on realism for which traditional first-person shooters tend to aim. Now, the companies are driving this messaging home with a new downloadable game that intentionally parodies Activision's Call of Duty.
Duty Calls: The Calm Before The Storm -- pokes plenty of fun at the Call of Duty brand, from its logo and visual palette to its dialogue and objectives, which often elect being true to conventions of the military game genre over being especially surprising or inventive.
"Here's your objective," a gruff, soldierly voice barks in the online trailer. "Blah blah blah blah secret base; blah blah nuclear missile bomb."
Epic's Cliff Bleszinski joined the fun, deadpanning on Twitter: "Wow. I'm blown away. This game will redefine military shooters for years to come,"
Of course, the parody -- intentionally or not -- subtly draws on the visible, ugly legal fight that BulletStorm distributor Electronic Arts has had with Activision over the co-founders of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare house Infinity Ward. Self-protectively, Duty Calls' official page features the clear footnote: "Duty Calls is a parody. It is not associated with Activision or the Call of Duty games."
The minimum system requirements to play Duty Calls are as follows:

Processor: 2.0+ GHZ Single Core Processor
