The game features a variety of different multiplayer weapons that are highly customizable. Red Dot Sights, for example, can have custom shaped reticules in different colors. You can also engrave your clan tag onto your weapon. You have one primary and one secondary weapon for your class loadout.

The weapons and equipment in Black Ops must be bought with CoD Points, but you must also level up before you can unlock them for purchase.
