The game is amazingly addictive. It costs 14,95 EUR which is $22.23 USD It's still in the beta phase so you get updates and improvements. It's hard to put a finger on exactly why it's so addictive but it is.
The graphics look rough like the first Dune game for the PC. A recent update has improved the graphics of the grass but the graphics are intentionally blocked. Sales reached one million in January and the sales are increasing like hits on a viral video. It’s exciting to discover a success story like this. One person makes a game that is now being played by over 7 million people and the word is spreading like hits on a viral video. The total amount of players can't even be counted because it's also being pirated in vast numbers. 2.1 million have purchased the game, 7.4 have registered. (The game was free for a short period.) What a great inspiration for anyone interested in game development, especially on the heels of the number one game development program DarkBASIC Professional coming out with a free ad supported version of the program.
The game can be played on-line multi-play or off-line single play. You can even host your own server which is very easy to do and looks good on a resume'.
